Happy Sketchy Tuesday! :)

First is what appears to be a knot. I copied it for fun from a simple step-by-step on Pinterest.

This is based off of another art piece I saw on Pinterest. :) This is a fun, simplistic piece. I edited it to give it color.

Sketchbook #3

I employed the use of pens, markers, and prisms color pencils.

The first has a Harry Potter quote and the second one a poem from the Lord of the Ring.

Sherlock Tribute

This month has seen the return of one of the most eloquent and dramatic TV shows- BBC's Sherlock.

Already all 3 episodes of season 3 have been released in the UK and the first episode is set to release in the US this Friday.

Any Sherlock fan knows that this is a BIG deal since it's been 2 years since one of the greatest cliff hangers ever was dropped at the end of season 2.

The Game is On.

I did a rather abstract painting and then edited it using quotes from the first 2 seasons.

Poem- Fictitious Fancies

I have no words that glow

No tales of ringing steel

I have no loom of foresight

No worlds that are surreal

The portal through the wardrobe

Has closed itself to me

My companion who could run

Has run at last from me

I lost my magic ring

It fell through time and space

It crashed into a mountain

At silver warp speed pace

It takes imagination

To make a dream alive

It takes a leap of daring

To take dreams to the sky

I have no right to do

what I have seen been done

Instead I have the privilege

To share the light of One

No wand will ever choose me

No staff is mine to wield

I have only plain symbols

to make their minds all reel

No mockingjay will sing

No faction claim my work

My writing is not beauty

It has too many quirks

They say all things have endings

I think that very well

For without any endings

Beginnings would be quelled

Now one last word- “say please”

Please let me live my days

In peace with friends of paper

Who have loved me “Always”

Sketchbook #2

Heyloeth everyone! We're back to Sketchy Tuesday.

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and New Years!

First: Simple lamp post.

Second: I attempt to get in some practice drawing a whole body. I used a reference photo and added some personal touches in the appearance of the dancer. The arms are questionable... one of them is too short I think. Oh well it's all practice.

Third: I used Photoshop to merge the two together. It's not anything genius but I'm pleased with it.
